World Illustration Awards – Long-list Announced

We’re thrilled to announce that our artist Katherine Quinn has been longlisted for the World Illustration Awards 2023. Her piece ‘As Above So Below’ is one of 500 artworks selected for the awards, in the Exploration category. You can see the full list here.

Katherine is no stranger to underwater themes.
Her extensive collections of illustration and pattern work include a wide range of sea creatures both real and imaginary. Click here to request her full portfolio.

Katherine Quinn lives in Paki Paki on a little hill in the New Zealand countryside with her family and cat Rosie, who is scared of everything except bulls. She has been drawing for as long as she can remember.

Her illustrations are intelligent observations offering a fresh take on their subject matter. Working in both traditional and digital illustration, Katherine works in acrylic and watercolour pencils.

The WIA is held annually and offers significant opportunities for illustrators to have their work seen, connect with the industry and celebrate great illustration. It is open to entries from around the world in ten different categories including advertising, animation, book covers & children’s publishing.

Well done to Katherine and good luck in the next stages of the awards! We will of course keep you posted with any updates.

Warmly,
