🌿 About the artwork - shared by the BBC
'Nature, honouring it's greatest champion. To celebrate Sir David Attenborough, artist Helen Ahpornsiri has crafted this painstaking portrait using over 3,000 pieces of flora, responsibly foraged mainly from her own garden or collected in very small quantities in the world.
Using traditional flower-press techniques, Helen preserves the beauty of the natural world, always taking care to cause as little disturbance to the environment as possible - much like Attenborough himself' - BBC
This extraordinary pieces took over four months to complete (approximately 693 hours) and incorporates 115 different species.
