EWA ROSA
Ewa Rosa is a Polish illustrator in love with all things nature. She’s passionate about creating whimsical scenes full of magic and celestial motifs, and she draws inspiration from the ocean, plant life, cosmos, and Japanese woodblock prints.
She likes to incorporate exquisite details and intricate patterns into her drawings, especially dots symbolising stardust and the interconnectedness of all the living things. Her work is lush, decorative, dreamy, and full of opulent, golden accents.
Ewa loves experimenting with traditional media, such as watercolours, ink pens, and embroidery on paper, and the discoveries she makes during these studio sessions later influence her digital drawings in Procreate.
When she’s not working, you can find her curled on a blue sofa with her favourite “B” combo: book, blanket, and (hot) beverage, preferably listening to Billy Holiday. She also enjoys taking long strolls by the sea, and beachcombing is another “B” on the list of her most cherished pastimes.

What would be your dream project?
“I’d love the opportunity to create designs for ceramics (mugs, plates, teapots) and beautiful notebooks.
“I’d also love to work on a collection of puzzles with my illustrations.”
Tell us about yourself, what makes you ‘tick’?
“I believe that everything in the Universe is connected. That's why, in my art, I like to filter nature through the lens of the magical, whimsical, and surreal, and I do not shy away from putting the moon at the bottom of the ocean or a jellyfish in the sky. Galaxy swirl mirrors the pattern of a shell. We are all starstuff.”
